MASTERS IN EMERGENCY MEDICINE (MEM) / CCT-EM (SEMI) is a 3 years Post Graduate course accredited by Society for Emergency Medicine India [SEMI] board. It offers the student a unique clinical experience through its excellent academic schedule. Training comprises of rotatory postings in Emergency room, Medical ICU, Surgical ICU and OT to attain skills to provide emergency care, critical care and basic anaesthesia.
The program offers a comprehensive curriculum that covers all aspects of emergency medicine, including trauma care, resuscitation, critical care, and more. You will receive hands-on experience in a high-volume, high-acuity setting, ensuring that you are well-prepared for any emergency.

Core Emergency Medicine:
Residents will receive in-depth training in core emergency medicine principles, such as acute resuscitation, trauma care, cardiovascular emergencies, and pediatric emergencies. This knowledge is essential for delivering exceptional care in the emergency department. -
Clinical Decision-Making:
We emphasize clinical reasoning and decision-making skills. Residents will learn to assess complex medical cases, make rapid decisions, and prioritize patient care in a fast-paced environment. -
Advanced Procedures:
Our program includes hands-on training in advanced procedures commonly performed in the emergency department, such as Intubation, Chest tubes, Ultrasound-guided line placement (Central, Arterial, Dialysis sheath), Nerve Blocks, Simple and Complex wound repair, etc. -
Simulation-Based Learnings:
The program leverages state-of-the-art simulation facilities for immersive and realistic training scenarios. This allows residents to practice critical skills and decision-making in a controlled environment, enhancing their preparedness for real-life emergencies. -
Target-based learning:
Establishing objectives for individuals every 3 months is a structured way to enhance education and skill development. It entails defining precise, short-term learning targets, promoting personalized learning, measurable advancement, and adaptability. 96 sessions:
Training sessions held throughout a year to cover a complete curriculum, ensuring consistent learning and comprehensive coverage of topics or skills. This approach is adaptable for various educational or training contexts. -
Educational Supervisors:
This approach involves mentorship under educational supervisors, with assessments conducted every three months to track progress. It offers structured and customized learning experiences, fostering skill development and knowledge acquisition. Innovative logbook covering both RCEM and CCT-EM curriculum:
It is a progressive tool for medical professionals specializing in emergency medicine. It effectively encompasses the requirements of both curricula, streamlining the learning processes. This logbook includes features for self-assessment, mentor evaluations, and aligns with regulatory standards, promoting an efficient and comprehensive educational experience for trainees in this field.

Duration, Working Hours, Rotation:
- Duration of course: A 3-year program with in-depth training in emergency medicine.
- Working Hours: Round-the-clock shifts (covering day and night), well balanced amongst the residents with 24/7 consultant coverage.
- Rotations: Resident is predominantly trained in ER for most of the training period and includes 4 months of critical care, 4 months of anaesthesia, additional 4 months electives covering paediatrics, prehospital, radiology, trauma, quality improvement, simulation based on student interest to broaden clinical expertise.
